NFO :
I wanted to share this in 2007 when I started the blog
as one of the early posts but it got lost in the idea.
But sorting through things recently
it reared up from the cosmic silver disc dock
and I  have flashed back
from the archives
to this great garage rock album from Michigan
featuring some future stars ALA Grand Funk.

This LP is one of my favorite Flea Market Finds.
Original and rare MONO issue, I'm not sure if there was
even a Stereo issue. If there was, thats rad!

Released through the Motown Sub Barry label and
then a unique pressing on Quality Records in Canada
from the superb rock music year of 1966.
Hearing this again after 5 years, I enjoy it more.
Even the sappy (HUGE HIT) last track, is ok.

I personally enjoy the Garage Fuzz attacks, the great harmonies
and the Power amost Flower-Pop Rock writing of Mr.Knight.

Did I mention the YARDBIRDS cover?

It's up there in classic Lysergia covers
like the calibre of Sons of Adam.

The engineering is tops.
It says on the back cover it's recorded
in two seperate studios. Probably the singles recorded
in one studio and even cobbling together finished demos?

I am bummed to have lost my original hi-rez scans
of the LP. (I sold it a few years ago)
So I had to make some small JPGS work
for now.

  2. Barry Records was actually a subsidiary of Quality Records. The original US release was on Michigan based Lucky Eleven records, which was distributed by Cameo-Parkway.
