This LP was recorded by a group of 7 gals that range in age that looks to be 11 to maybe 17.
There are two adults, one Lady who is listed as Sheila Harper and a Man, John Wirtanen.
A substantial album because it's all original songs written by the Adults
who happen to also be Teachers at some private school in the Mountains of British
Columbia Canada. Kind of a Rudolph Steiner type deal. Lot's of schools like this
on the West coast.
It was recorded in 1980.
The songs are all very good, mostly great, two duds to my ears.
There was a scratch on the worst sung song (IMO) by a certain Tanya Dusseault
and I have a feeling that it was done either in spite or just because the
person who owned this LP previous hated the singing.
Just a hunch. You can hear the tick through the whole song
it's a pretty mean scratch.
To talk about the goodness - A real gem here with this album.
I love the way it was recorded. Pretty sparse with nice harmonies, some
piano and other odd instruments for effect.
A wide range of topics even what sounds like a Jesus song.
This one is very rare. I would probabably guess no more than 500 were pressed.
